Bruce- Enjoy talking with you about the Eclipse trumpets- you are very informative and helpful. It would help me (and I'm assumng others) to get the breakdown on the cost of the Eclipse. 3,200 Euro equals $2,680 US based on the exchange rate last week. Please expand on the other costs involved in order to get the horn to the United States. THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not Bruce , but I think that exchange rate is a little off. 3,200 Euro is about $3,700 with the exchange rate from last week(can the dollar get some help?). Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that but I use Euro's every day. By the way Bruce, I think that GR decision was made after today............WHAT A MOUTHPIECE!!!!!!!!!

Quick, everyone call Bank One and start buying Euros!
Marathoner...they got their calculator upside down!

Hey, Marathoner! The Euro fluctuates quite a bit, eh? It's always best to call, or e-mail, for a quote. Doing the conversion can be scary business! Especially if their calculator is upside-down... Thankfully, regardless of the value of our dollar, the price will remain the same. Leigh is not out to scare anyone away. The Eclipse trumpets are truly in a class all by themselves, and they a great value! Thanks for helping to clarify that, Skip, and Ed! Best always, Bruce

We need for the Eclipse trumpet count, and the GR mouthpiece count to be equal, in Bamberg! You have to keep an eye on Gary, he gives his mouthpieces away, all of the time! Enjoy it, Savannah Mannah! Wow... new username? Thanks, Mike! Bruce

The Euro is rediculously unstable due to the varied economies in the "Eurozone".
It's probably better to compare the Dollar price to Stirling, since Eclipses are made in the UK not Europe. Also the Pound is more stable against the Dollar.

Very valid point, Clarino. Here's today's numbers from the currency calculator site that I use: Results United Kingdom United States 2000 Pound(s) = 3390.2271 Dollar(s) Not cheap...but less than $4,000! (as if THAT would make my wife breath a sigh of relief!!!) (edit: Gee, does this mean we can pick the currency of our choice? )

In an effort to clarify things, on the USA side of the pond, it would be best to contact me directly, for pricing. The US Dollar price will remain consistent, despite the fluctuations in the Euro. Eclipse.UK. pricing will also remain steady, and perhaps it would be best to contact Leigh, regarding pricing in Europe. Had a little glitch in logging on, so I took out a new user name. Maybe I'll save it for the Eclipse trumpets posts, so as not to confuse everyone. What I'm REALLY saying is this: If you are interested in an Eclipse trumpet, please contact either Leigh, or me, and we'll be happy to answer any questions that you might have. Thank you! Hi Marathoner/Tootsall
Yes the Euro is causing us all who sell within Europe a severe headache as the fluctuation is crazy!
We started out on the website with these set prices and the US price does not sway so much but the Euro is terrible. The US & Euro prices should have been taken off of the site a while ago actually, but its my fault! (i hold my hand up guilty as charged)
The best for all concerned is to ask for a current and up to date quote from each countries dealer , this info can be found on our Website. Should you be from a country not represented as yet, then feel free to contact me direct and deal with us directly.
Oh and Tootsall, the links you sent me were fantastic, what a beautiful place you live. I particularly liked the look of those lakes as i love to fish! Find out for me if they will sell me that piece of land just to the right of that Lake? , just enough to build a nice house and a trumpet factory ;D
Regards
Leigh
