I just wanted to be the first to post here........ maybe a place where most men fear to tread with this hot potato.
Let's start on the right foot with this one, be fair to the horn and forget what has happened in other places.
It's a clean slate..........
So, what's wrong with a hand crafted bell, monel valves, nice appearance for a good price? Might be worth a look or listen.

FYI: I have asked Mr. Z to moderate this forum. It is my hope that I can have reps or the actual maker for each of the Trumpet maker forums (in the case of eclipse trumpets I was able to land Legih to moderate) If Mr. Z will not do it I hope to get a Big Zeus supporter to moderate this forum. You will be able to talk about your Zeus in Peace.

Thank you, trptmaster, for this forum!
I AM a big supporter of the ZeuS trumpets - it is my "go to" horn!
I own a beautiful ZeuS Guarnerius in polished lacquer, completed with heavy valve caps and the rounded tuning slide! This is a VERY sweet instrument! And the price - WOW!
Hopefully, in the not too distant future, I will be able to post a link to an MP3 where I perform a version of "Stardust," complete with backing! I, personally, think the horn sounds incredible!
Thevor - you are absolutely right! The ZeuS G. DOES deserve a look, and a listen!
Blessings,

It isn't just another horn if you put a JET TONE mouthpiece in it! The sonorous sound and beautiful timbre just blow people away.
Seriously folks, if you can play you'll sound great on a Bundy (may have to work a little harder, but still) and if you can't play you'll sound like it on whatever is the horn of the month. Kids these days should all go on ebay and buy an old Conn 22B (that plays great) for $100 and stop wasting their parent's money. The gloves are off.

Hello Jettoneman,
I agree. There are some kids out there who should not spend more than $100 on a trumpet, what with their level of commitment, and the way they take care of their property! Therefore, the idea of purchasing on old Conn 22B, or an Olds Ambassador, as their instrument, is sound!
Of course, then the risk is run about what one may get on Ebay...but that is another story.
I do believe there are, however, kids that display a high level of commitment, and that are very careful with their instruments. I know several of these youngsters that fall into this category! These individuals, I believe, are ideal candidates for a new horn! And of course, I personally recommend the ZeuS!
With these youngsters, there is that certain pride of ownership that comes with a new horn, which they evidence! They are also apt to practice even more! And because they have a very good quality instrument, their progress is not hampered by a potentially sub-par instrument!
Finally, I do agree that good players can sound great on just about any horn! This has been evidenced time and time again. They just sound "even better," and can play easier, on a quality instrument!
Just my $0.02 worth!
Blessings,
