Little Shop of Horrors!!!!

I went to the monette factory for a mouthpiece. I only live 2 hours away. I got there and Dave Monette came out of his office to help me personally. He was really creepy. He picked out 6 different mouthpieces and set them on the table. He would talk to me about the mouthpiece first and then hand it to me to try. Well, he would quit talking all the sudden so I thought it ment it was time to play. As I put it up to my lips and he got very angry with me, like I had interupted him. He had me play. I played like two notes, and then he stopped me. "No, N0." he said and then would give me a different mouthpiece. After playing out this exact scenerio five times, on the sixth time he paused agin, I looked at him as if to ask if it was time to try out the mouthpiece. I thought yes, but as I played he sternly said, "when talk we dont play, and when we play we dont talk!" We was pretty upset. Well, I appologized and decided on the B4. I then asked him If I could try out some of his trumpets. He handed me one that he said was Wyntons, in for some dent repairs. I played it and the valve action was a lot different than my horn and it felt really weird. I told him some thing to that effect and man, was he ticked off. "Well it works for Wynton just fine!" he said as if in his own defense. He just didn't seem to be a very warm person. His staff was just as weird. They all said the same thing after you made a comment to them. I forget the phrase but after they said it, and then their eyes kind of went blank and they looked really creepy.

I am not a tactless or "weid" person, despite my grammar. I cant think of anything I did to upset them, or make them uncomfortable. I really thought that they were a strange crew. But on the bright side I heard Dave talking to Maynard on the speaker phone, and got a tour of there plant. I think if I want a monette again I will get the Kanstul Copy. They have allways been very polite over the email.

Anyways, just felt like sharing.
