Hi, This should get a reaction out of the girls . You know one of the things that is always evident when I play the Taylor is how stable the note is. I mean that regardless of volume level the note doesn't deteriorate or fall away when playing softly or at fffff. That's created its own problems for me because I tend to play too loudly anyway and if the horn isn't warning me then I overpower everybody else. I can also see why some guys just don't get on with it because you need to 'show it who's boss' and if you aren't really confident (and by that I don't mean blasting away..you can play ppp with confidence) then it just won't reward you and that's when you get the impression that the horns out of tune. From watching other guys play it for the first time it doesn't seem to be all that forgiving if you have an obvious embechure problem either. However, if you approach it in a positive way and are a strong enough player to get it feeding back (no more guitar puns intended Andy ;D) the sound could fill a football stadium. Does anybody have the same experience with their Taylor and if it is a common thread is it a result of the design or is it common to other horns as well? Regards Trevor
