It is my understanding that the Laskey Conversion turns your regular Bach into a Mt Vernon. Is that correct? Is the horn supposed to feel and play like a Mt Vernon or is there more to it than that. Maybe I am off completely

On Laskey's web site, www.laskey.com, he has a great articel about the history of his conversion. Look in the section titled "Conversion". I would rather not cut and paste the article here, as I don't want to steal Scott's writing......... Basically, the idea was to reproduce the sound and feel of the old Mount Vernon Bach horns. The CSO has a great set of 4 Mount Vernon C trumpets, and these were the basis for Scott's design. Mike
