When I go to the ten most recent posts, under the bright orange line is another line that's black and difficult to see through. Post by Skip, etc. It's in other small locals as well. Tough to see through. The rest is ok, I like the old colors better!

Down here below, under Topic Summary is the black line that's difficult to see through.

Hi,
I like things with light backgrounds!
About four months ago, nearing my 52nd birthday, my light sensitivity in my ol' eyeballs finally began to degrade (it happens to everyone if ya live that long).
My son has dark backgrounds on his compoooter and I can hardly see the light letters and icons.
I think this site would be easier to read, have folks lurk longer with less eye fatigue, and grow membership faster with a light background. TPO uses a very dark background and it is a real hassle over there and I suspect that is a reason I don't go there much.
Thanks for the poll!
Tom

dbacon,
My age must really be affecting my eyes. I've looked all over each page but can't find "topic summaries". Maybe that is a moderator feature.

Take a look at the environment in which you live, work and play. What colors suites your eyes and mood the most? If one is a night person or a day person, there are still some colors which transmit certain feelings. Red for hot, passion, spicy, etc; green for growth, calmness; blue for adventure, sky, etc, etc. Through my experiences in working with colors, I have found that kids like the circus colors which are the basic ones, red, green, blue and the executives like the purple, magenta, gold, silver colors.
I have found that Blue and white is always a good combination and if you want some complimentary spice, to add a magenta, gray or silver. Presentations become confused if more than three colors are used.

I agree with Liad. Throw out the yellow and try to work in some shades of blue.

FWIW, the darker colors were much nicer.

It would be nice to see something in the middle of the old and new.
